Senior Outreach Food Pantry Volunteer Job Description
Position Title: Pantry support- Unloading and stocking
Location: 12305 Jefferson Ave, St Clair Shores 48080 on the campus of St Lucy Catholic Church Organization: Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan
Reports To: Jessica Zettner, Pantry Coordinator
Position Summary: Join Catholic Charities at the Senior Outreach Program and help bring compassion and dignity to our neighbors in need. As a Pantry Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting seniors and families as food is packed for delivery to those who struggle with transportation. This is a meaningful opportunity to live out the love and mercy of Jesus Christ in service to others.
Time Commitment: 3hrs per week, with some options to work every other week
Available Shifts: 1st 3rd Mondays: 9AM – 12 PM
Key Responsibilities Include: Help unload and move boxes from truck delivery Help put away deliveries Help organize pantry
Qualifications: Helpful and cooperative with a calm demeanor. Able to walk and stand for up to 3 hours (with breaks) and lift approximately 20 pounds at a time. Must be 18 years or older. Additional jobs for those who are less mobile are available
