This is a mid-term project management volunteer role supporting our community tax preparation service. The coordinator will oversee different stages of the program and ensure smooth, high-quality service for both volunteers and clients.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of volunteer tax preparers.
- Complete the IRS Link & Learn tax training (provided by Accounting Aid Society).
- Organize the site setup (equipment, supplies, and tax software).
- Manage volunteer schedules and client appointments.
- Support clients during intake and interviews, answering questions and ensuring confidentiality of all taxpayer information.
- Lead community outreach efforts to promote the VITA program and attract both volunteers and clients.
