Volunteer: Client Assistant - Afternoon Opportunities - Mercy Market 2025

Join Catholic Charities at the Mercy Market and help bring compassion and dignity to our neighbors in need. As a Client Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families as they access nutritious food through the Mercy Market. This is a meaningful opportunity to live out the love and mercy of Jesus Christ in service to others.

Key Responsibilities Include: 

Warmly welcome clients to the Center for the Works of Mercy  Conduct initial household assessment  Assist clients with the Link2Feed intake system  Guide clients in selecting pantry items based on the USDA Balanced Plate model  Distribute frozen meat items according to household size  Help clients schedule future appointments

Any required training will be provided on site.


Qualifications: 

Helpful and cooperative with a calm demeanor Able to walk and stand for up to 3 hours(with breaks) and lift approximately 20 pounds at a timeMust be 18 years or older
