Position title: Family Programs Assistant
Location: Virtual and in-person
Time commitment: Flexible hours based on availability, with a recommended commitment of 10 hours per week.

About the role:

The Family Program Assistant is a volunteer position that provides essential support to the Family Programs by assisting with data recording, administrative tasks, social media promotion, and community events. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector while contributing to a meaningful cause.

You are a good fit if you:

  • Have a high school diploma/GED (Associate's degree or some college + equivalent work experience preferred).
  • Are interested in mental health, community outreach, or non-profit work.
  • Bring strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Have basic computer and social media knowledge (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Being bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, not required. 

    Key responsibilities:
  • Accurately record and organize program data.
  • Assist with creating and scheduling social media posts to promote programs and events.
  • Support with general administrative tasks (e.g., filing, communications, scheduling).
  • Help plan and participate in community events and outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure the smooth operation of the programs.
